1. Topic        :  LUNG  CAPACITY
2.  Subject         : Biology
3. Class/ semester    : XI / 2 nd
4. Time allocation    :  2 x 45 minutes
5. Lesson Instruction :  a. Read literature about respiration system
b.Do  the  prosedure  step by step
                                    c. Collect  the result in  your  table  sheet
6. Basic Competence  :  3.4  To explain structure, function, and process and also disparity/ disease able to happened at  exhalation system on human and animal ( for example bird )
7.  Indicator        :   1. To state the differences in composition between inspired and expired
2.    To describe a test for carbon dioxide
3.    To describe the process of gas exchange between air in the alveoli and the blood
4.    To explain the terms tidal volume and vital capacity;
8. Information    :     Each time you inhale and exhale, only about 500 milliliters of air are exchanged. The maximum amount of air that you can move through your lungs is called the vital capacity.. A small amount of carbon dioxide (about 10 percent) is car¬ried in solution in the plasma,
All these reactions are reversible, and in the lungs carbon dioxide is released.
9. Location        :   Biology Laboratory
10.Instrument and Materials:
1.    Big  bottle
2.    Cylinder graduate
3.    Plastic tube
4.    water ball.
5.    board maker

11.   Working steps:
1.    Compile appliances like picture beside,
2.    Putting down bottle  that  have volume  to  5 litre, fill with water, each  10 cc / 10cm3 with cylinder graduate  in phases till full   at the same time made  scale with boardmaker
3.    When have full , shutting mouth, inverting and including into basin contain water, including pipe / after plastic   through  bottle mouth tip of other pipe  entered  to your mouth.
Before pipe  entered  to mouth, take a deep /  strong breath and blow strong breath  through  pipe so that air emit a stream  through  pipe,  then step into inversed bottle.
4.    Cover return bottle mouth,  then bottle  released] from basin, put down in a state of straightening, measure the high  of  water in bottle and mark off bottle with  boardmaker.
5.    Fill  the bottle until full of water , by using cylinder graduate . Note how much  enhanced water volume.
6.    Measure  your friend’s  lung capacity and note your observation.

12.Cognitive      : product report
Psikomotoric    :  Individu working  in group

13.  Follow up :
Presentate product  in class discussion

14. Question
a. How many  the average of lung capacity male and female?
b. how many the average of vital capacity, after jogging.
